Only problems I've had so far are... Cracked windshield, nail in tire, brake fluid reservoir cap cracked, bad battery (warranty replacement + terminal cable replacement) and a brake line leak (small, warrnety covered this and the replacement of the wheel it leaked onto!).

Not bad for an 06 eh?

As an enthusiast/owner, it's tough living on all sides of the Kappa webforum fences.
The reason I wish this site prosperity via membership, is that I BELIEVE in the sharing of information. I'm not a fan of Vendor controlled forums. If one enthusiast says to another, they found a great product... We all want to know what it is, from whom it comes and not worry about dancing around PAYING VENDOR RESTRICTIONS.

These types of restrictions prevent growth within this small (micro) community that is KAPPA based.

Anyhow, I suppose I should do some rewinding.
I'm DJ aka Doug AKA Sol Ice AKA Solsticetime aka GoFastDJ.... on other spaces and places.

Here, I'm Sol Ice, but you can call me DJ.

Anyhow, I have a 2006 Solstice ... NA.
As you can see from my avatar, it's PURE. I hunted all over the west coast for THAT car!

Some of the key factors in finding it were....

COLOR - PURE
LSD
LEATHER
PRICE - Nothing over factory sticker.

After a frantic search (a week after the day I decided I was going to buy one ) I found mine in Culver City, Ca.

As you may or may not know, I reside in Sin City, Vegas. So... it'd be a weekend trip to grab it and go. After several back and foths with the internet sales manager, he guaranteed I would not pay the dealer upcharge of $5000. He was right, I didn't... but a walk in did while I was there. WOW... he must have REALLLLY wanted it... a Mysterious NA.

That was Spring of 06.
I've yet to do any major mods on the car due to my odd circus schedule. I got the KappaShield, I was one of the first to have one. it works pretty OK. Looks good though.

That's my tale of 23,000 miles.

I know the owner of the site was very particular in getting a community together to share ideas and experiences. Forums are one way to do it, but Blogging allows for individuality and community building.

So, as this site evolves, expect to find yourself joining the now and "blogging up"!
